RomaTalk may be helpful if your child finds it hard to speak or to put wishes and thoughts into words, and pictures are clearer and easier for them.

No. The app works completely offline, without the internet, without registration and without sign-in. Use it at home, in the car or where there is no connection at all.

Yes. You can take a photo with the camera or choose one from the gallery, or take a built-in icon, and label the card. You can also record it in your own voice, so the child hears you and not a synthesizer. Up to 10 of your own cards are available for free, and RomaTalk Pro removes this limit.

By default the words are read by the built-in voice of your device, everything sounds offline and nothing goes to the cloud. If you have recorded a card in your own voice, your recording plays. When the required voice is not on the device, the app will show how to install it through the system settings.

Downloading and using it is free, together with hundreds of ready-made cards and the first ten of your own. RomaTalk Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and it removes the limit on the number of your cards. There are also voluntary tips if you would like to support the project, and the Pro purchase itself can be restored on your devices through the store.

Yes. The child profile, your cards, photos, audio recordings and usage history are stored only on the device itself. I, the developer, have no access to them and do not send them anywhere. The only exception: when Pro is bought or restored, only the receipt goes to the store for verification, without the child's name, photos or recordings.

The interface and the cards are available in 20 languages, including languages written from right to left, for example Arabic. You can choose the language that suits your family or your pupils. Everything works offline, there is no need to download language packs from the internet.

Yes, the app works both on a phone and on a tablet, and the large grid adapts to the screen size. You can create several profiles — one for each child — and switch between them right in the app. All the data still stays only on this device.

There is a very personal story behind this name. I made RomaTalk for my son Roman, at home he is affectionately called Roma. He has autism and does not speak at all yet. I wanted to give him a simple and warm way to show what he feels and what he wants. That is how a small tool for one boy grew into an app that, I very much hope, will help your child too.
