Frequently asked
Turn on backup in Settings. You can save an encrypted backup file for free or set up free daily or weekly backups to a folder you choose. Automatic Google Drive backup requires Plus. Restoring an existing Drive backup is free. When you turn backup on, Vistadose shows a recovery code. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. Without the code nobody can open the backup, including us.
Install Vistadose on the new phone and choose to restore. Use your backup file or your Google Drive copy, and enter your recovery code.
The app keeps the four most recent automatic backups in the folder you choose. A second automatic backup on the same day replaces the first. The app does not delete files you save manually. The app keeps the three most recent Google Drive backups and removes older ones. It also removes sync files once all linked devices have read them.
The recovery code is the key to your backups and your Google Drive copy. We never see it and cannot reset it. If you still have the phone, open Settings › Backup in Vistadose and create a new recovery code, then make a fresh backup with it. If the phone and the code are both gone, the data cannot be restored.
Sync is part of Plus. Turn it on in Settings on the first device, then join from the second device with the same recovery code. Your data travels through your own Google Drive and is encrypted on the device before it leaves. When Plus ends, new Drive backups and sync pause. Your existing Drive data is kept, and restoring from a backup remains free.

The dose log, reminders, charts, the doctor report, manual backup files, automatic backups to a folder and restoration from Google Drive are free.
